How this ranking works
The order comes from player reviews that we approved. Pending and rejected reviews never count, and our own editorial rating does not change the order.
Ranking score = (v / (v + m)) × R + (m / (v + m)) × C. R is the casino's average player rating, v is its number of approved reviews, m is 5 (a confidence weight) and C is the average of all approved player reviews.
A casino needs at least 3 approved reviews to get a rank. With few reviews the score is pulled towards the overall average C, so one or two very high reviews cannot put a casino on top. The player rating on each card is the real average. The ranking score is the adjusted number used only for the order.
The ranking updates by itself when a review is approved.
