Bonus buy lets you pay a fixed price, often many times your bet (for example 50x or more), to start the bonus round at once instead of waiting for it to trigger.
The price is high and results are very uneven. Buying the bonus does not make a win more likely: the average return is set by the game, and some versions have a different RTP for the bought round. Check the info screen. Because you pay up front, a budget can be gone in a few purchases.
